Budweiser’s new 2025 Super Bowl ad is entitled ‘First Delivery,’ and it features a young Clydesdale horse who wants to join the big boy horses on a keg delivery for the beloved beer brand. The spot starts with the beer delivery guy petting the little Clydesdale foal and saying “Whoa, still too little buddy…”
AND just wait a minute. Why am I getting teary eyed over a beer commercial? And someone really needs to go check on my editor, Mary, because I know she’s going to be sobbing over this one. Why is it that almost any commercial that features a nostalgic tune and beautiful animals makes us all turn into sobbing messes why we are just trying to enjoy some football and some delicious snacks? I’m feeling very manipulated by this little Clydesdale horse and The Bellamy Brothers to start chugging beer at my desk at 8 am on a Tuesday. This little horse just wanted to be included and make sure the keg got to the bar and he almost ran over a ground hog or prairie dog or whatever that little critter was and also went over a huge waterfall and he just kept on rolling it into town.
