Budweiser | Super Bowl LIX Teaser: Something “Big” is Coming

Budweiser has a long-standing tradition of creating memorable Super Bowl commercials, often featuring their iconic Clydesdale horses. For Super Bowl LIX, airing on February 9, 2025, the brand has released a teaser titled “Something ‘Big’ is Coming,” hinting at a heartwarming narrative centered around a young Clydesdale foal.

The 15-second teaser opens with a majestic shot of two adult Clydesdales preparing to draw a carriage, a scene reminiscent of Budweiser’s classic advertisements. As the camera pans, it reveals a small brown foal, its floppy ears twitching adorably. The teaser concludes with the text “Coming Super Bowl LIX” and the appearance of the Budweiser crown, all set to the 1976 hit “Let Your Love Flow” by The Bellamy Brothers.

This teaser has generated significant anticipation, as it marks the first time since 2013’s “Brotherhood” that a foal will be featured in Budweiser’s Super Bowl commercial. In “Brotherhood,” viewers were touched by the bond between a breeder and a young Clydesdale, making the upcoming ad’s focus on a foal particularly nostalgic.

The full commercial, titled “First Delivery,” has been leaked ahead of its official Super Bowl debut. In this ad, the young foal watches the older Clydesdales embark on a keg delivery. When a keg falls off the cart, the foal seizes the opportunity to help, navigating various terrains to ensure the keg reaches its destination. The commercial emphasizes themes of hard work, determination, and Budweiser’s long-standing commitment since 1876.

Directed by Henry Alex Rubin and created by FCB New York, “First Delivery” is the 47th Budweiser Super Bowl ad featuring the Clydesdales. To celebrate, Budweiser is bringing the Clydesdales to New Orleans, the host city of Super Bowl LIX, ahead of the game to interact with fans.

Budweiser’s decision to feature a foal in their Super Bowl ad reflects a strategic blend of nostalgia and brand storytelling. By revisiting beloved themes and characters, the brand aims to connect with both long-time fans and new audiences, reinforcing its legacy and commitment to quality.

As the Super Bowl approaches, anticipation builds not only for the game but also for the commercials that have become a cultural phenomenon. Budweiser’s “First Delivery” promises to be a standout, delivering a message that resonates with viewers and celebrates the brand’s rich history.
