Some people don’t like to be the center of attention. Personally, I tend to shy away from the spotlight and know many others who prefer standing off to the side rather than being center stage.

While dogs love human affection, it doesn’t necessarily mean they want to be the focal point of the room. Birthdays are meant to make a fuss over an individual, but there are those that would rather do without all the hubbub on their special day. It looks like Oreo the Dachshund is one of those birthday boys who likes to keep things low key.

In the Tiktok from @oreo.boyboy, Oreo’s mom and dad threw him a birthday celebration complete with decorations, cake, and blue birthday bib. Yet when the canine cutie was sung his birthday song, he appeared to be a bit uncomfortable.

“Singing Happy Birthday to our dog but it made him feel awkward,” the caption read as Oreo didn’t know where to look when serenaded. The adorable Doxie squirmed a bit, and his eyes seemed to say, “Can you stop now?”

Thankfully, Oreo soon got to dig in to his frosted birthday cake topped with blueberries. He was a bit put off by the fruit at first, but then found it to be refreshing.

Followers posted birthday wishes and gushed over precious pooch. Some related to Oreo’s discomfort with all the attention.

“Admit it. This is how it really feels when they’re singing you the bday song,” one shared.

“We just love you Oreo such a beautiful boy,” a fan raved.

“Omg he’s gorgeous! Happy birthday,” another posted.

“Dear mom and dad, his treats are taking to long, next time give treat first and then sing!” a follower suggested.

Despite the somewhat cringey experience for Oreo, he certainly deserved a special celebration!
