This Bernese Mountain Puppy knew exactly who his mom was!

Typically, when you purchase a puppy from a breeder, it’s a pre-selected thing. They match you with a puppy based on your preferences (gender, markings, etc.,), and when it’s time, you go and pick up that specific puppy. It’s only on rare occasions that you get there and then choose.
On Friday, May 9th, one mom showed off the day she got her Bernese Mountain Dog. Almost immediately, the puppy decided she was the one! Honestly, it looked more like they were meeting again than for the first time:
Jo Wise met her soul dog that day, and she knows it. I’m so happy the two of them will have each other forever!

This video is a throwback: Jo picked up her Bernese Mountain Puppy, Maurice, in 2022. She also has a Golden Retriever named Queso who’s about 2 years older, and that’s just incredible. Anyone who can endure that amount of fur in their home deserves an award!
When it was time to pick up Maurice, Jo went down to where the breeder was, and they let her sit with the puppies. That method isn’t always going to work, but sometimes it works better than anyone could’ve imagined, and Maurice’s case is a perfect example. They were meant to be together!
He’s aged like fine wine, too. Just look at him:
Bernese Mountain Puppies are classic, and they grow into such wonderful dogs, too! They’re so playful and gentle at the same time; they’ll go at your hands with their shark teeth, but they’ll snuggle up a second later. They’re basically Sour Patch Kids!
Bernese Mountain Puppies are eager to please and take well to training, too. They’re incredibly smart, and once you’ve got a routine down, you’ll truly never find anything better.
Maurice is perfect in every single way, and he always has been. They’re a match made in heaven!
