my name is Troy James I’m 28 years old and I work in human resources in my line of work there aren’t many surprises I wake up at the same time every day I go to work I check my email I have a chicken sandwich for lunch every day and I pack a snack of almonds and some cheese I love cheese as a snack uh drive home make dinner read a book and go to sleep wake up and do it all again the next day I’m a pretty reliable employee I never miss work except for one time my boss put out a missing person’s report out for
me even though I’m a pretty ordinary guy I do like to entertain my talent is just a hobby of mine but it would be unbelievable if I got to pursue this as a full-time career I can’t believe that I’m here right now it’s not really known at work yet that I’m auditioning for America’s Got Talent so hello everyone I hope the judges like me and I’m hoping that they tell me to quit my day [Music] [Applause] job hi there hello my name is Troy James and um what do you do for a living I work in Human Resources

had the fascination and the love for standup comedy so I decided okay I’ll go to the comedy club on amateur night and I thought well that’s something but there wasn’t any money being paid that you can live on few years passing I had to make a living so I worked a variety of jobs but none of them was constituted a career they were just jobs I have a a quiet life now but I’m happy Happ can be I walk almost every day weather permitting I have the same path I’ve been walking for 18 years yeah every
once in a while I’ll get crazy and um take a different route Andy you’re on in 20 minutes H you’re on in 20 minutes the passion and the love of standup just got to be too much and at some point I decided I need to do standup comedy you sing stand up you’re a stand up comic yeah fantastic this is something I’ve never achieved or done before and this may be the last time I get an opportunity like this one if I can get last from the judges last from the audience I’ll be the one Walking on Air after the show I’ll be a happy man you

ago I’m down to one shade of gray two if I catch a nap in the afternoon um you don’t get it no sex is still exciting I never know what’s going to happen first the orgasm or the foot cramp there’s some advantages to being my a AG uh frequently people will stand and offer me their seat which is great on the bus little creepy in the men’s room he’s good what does that mean the seat what do you mean what does that mean the toilet no just broke up with my girlfriend Lori Lori loves role playing in the

so I took off right out of high school to come to LA and pursue that dream I think I get a lot of inspiration from nature if you really take a good look at nature you can see how incredibly beautiful life is I’ve got to perform on various stages all over the nation but this one’s definitely going to be up there as uh one of the bigger ones that’s for sure I’m going to go out there do my best and whatever happens I know without a doubt that America’s Got Talent is going to transform my life [Music]

creatively I realized realized that if I really wanted to pursue music in a real way I was going to have to get out of Ohio and I made the move uh packed up my car drove across the country uh got an apartment for myself right in the middle of Hollywood and you know we weren’t in Toledo anymore the first time I went on stage I remember instantly feeling like this is what I have to do that is where I birthed bonava was in that idea of creative [Music] expression nothing startles me when I’m Bona Vega on stage I feel like

comedy people have been saying for a long time that I I should do stand-up comedy just cuz I was really good at you know making remarks and conversation and I think people have an idea of humor that there’s a certain way to do it and then laughter pursuing comedy is definitely not been what I thought I don’t always get the best reactions I feel I’m still finding where I really fit tonight’s really my chance to prove to people that I have a talent I know it’s not necessarily what everyone wants to see but there will be people out

and real and dark it’s everything that I absolutely love so good from the moment you walked out your visual your your and your Cadence and everything and you’re smart and you’re bright I think you didn’t get the reaction you expected so you’re not used to this are you no is that is that what you’re crying I I don’t get booked on a lot of shows a you know that’s you know enjoy your free time right now because you are going to be a busy man well olivar uh we have had a lot of standup comedians this year now when I look back
