Today’s lucky spa clients? Willow, Duke, and our handsome stallion, Titan. Duke, as usual, insisted on drinking the hose water before allowing us to rinse him off, while Willow stood like a queen, basking in the attention. Titan, on the other hand? Let’s just say that a stallion covered in soap and deciding to roll mid-bath is a messy situation.
Step 2: The Ultimate Hair Treatment
A Clydesdale’s feathering (the long hair around their hooves) is one of their most beautiful features—but it also requires serious maintenance. After washing and conditioning their thick manes, tails, and leg feathers, we carefully comb them out, ensuring they stay silky smooth. Titan, ever the show-off, flicked his tail dramatically, whipping half a bucket of water right onto my shirt. Thanks, buddy.
Step 3: Hoof & Massage Therapy
Next up: hoof care. Their hooves are massive, so keeping them clean and trimmed is essential. A little coconut oil rub keeps them healthy and shiny, and our farrier makes sure they stay in perfect condition. The Grand Finale: Titan’s Victory Gallop
With everyone looking fresh, clean, and fabulous, we opened the pasture gate for the best part of the day—freedom! Titan, our powerful and proud stallion, took full advantage. He reared up, let out a deep, thunderous whinny, and then launched into a full gallop across the field. His mane and tail flowed behind him as he charged through the golden sunlight, kicking up dirt in a breathtaking display of strength and beauty. A true king of the pasture.
Willow and Duke soon joined him, their massive hooves drumming against the earth like rolling thunder. Watching these majestic giants move with such grace and power is something I’ll never get tired of.
